About the role
We are working with the core developer tooling team responsible for 30k+ developers in one for the biggest investment bank. Our team is especially focused on LLM-based tools for developers – evaluation, trials, onboarding and customisation. After the phase of initial tests, the team now faces a need to onboard 1000s of new developers each week to use AI tooling. The team works closely with vendors and in-house teams to ensure that tools like Claude Code or Copilot CLI bring as much value as possible to the client developers. The team will work on automations, setup, MCPs and more. The team supports users – mainly via running trials and checks and helping with escalations from existing, hands-on support teams
Python, MCP, AI-agents, scripting, git, AWS, Azure, JVM, C++, Bazel
Claude Code, Amp, Intellij, git, Kanban, Windows via Citrix, JIRA, BitBucket
Customising LLM tools to fit the client’s environment and flows. Working on integration of existing and new context sources including various MCP. Tracking user’s needs and building a generic mechanism that fits multiple teams. The team will need to balance security requirements with pragmatism and users’ experience
4 people in the VL team working with bigger teams on the client’s side – distributed across Americas, Europe and Asia
What we expect in general
- High agency is more imporant for us then particulars skills or experience. We need to people who complete the work despite obstacles, people who run away from excuses and focus on the task and project.
- We are looking for people who use programming language as a tool and have no objection to pick one on the fly.
- Most of the work will be related to Python and/or Typescript, but the team may work with Java, Scala, C++ or other languages – backed by tools like Claude Code.
- The key requirements are hands-on experience (or willingness to get it) with agentic, LLM assistance and/or vibe coding, and the ability to evaluate such tools in the context of the client environment.
- Experience with debugging, profiling network and memory issues is a plus.
- Good communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work as a part of a team and communicate well
- Ability to analyse issues, propose and implement solutions together with other developers.
- Some experience with working with external teams and processes.
- Some experience with extending developer tooling: IDEs, CI/CD systems
- Some experience with design and creation of TUI, GUI and or web applications (nice to have)
- Willingness to work outside standard hours (after 6:00 PM CET) will be considered an additional asset
