About the role
Elevate your test skills as a QA engineer. Master CI/CD like TeamCity and learn to push the development team for unparalleled software quality.
We are building a platform that helps large organisations manage installed tools for developers (eg. IDE and its plugins).
Kotlin, Spring, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, S3, TeamCity (for CI), Space (for code reviews)
Build a tool that gives the best experience for the developers. Our goal is to provide valuable insights and the ability to manage versions and configurations at scale.
4 people on our side and 5+ on the client side. We do code reviews
What we expect in general:
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) for complex projects, including web services, back-end systems, and desktop applications.
- Solid experience in Manual Testing with DevOps flavour – you need to setup the solution from scratch as part of the testing scenario.
- Strong knowledge of web-related technologies and HTTP protocols.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Basic knowledge of SQL databases, including both installation and request syntax (e.g., creating tables, performing queries).
- Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins) and version control systems like Git.
- Bacis knowledge and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a basic understanding of how to launch and manage cloud instances.
- Ability to work effectively without detailed functional specifications and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies independently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, understandable terms.
- Persistent and methodical approach to reproducing and solving complex cases, even when faced with challenging scenarios.
- Proficiency in written English.
- Passion for QA and a commitment to staying current with best practices and tools in the field.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving user experience.
- Ability to work as a team player while also performing effectively with minimal supervision.
- A strong user-centric mindset, with the belief that software is developed primarily for users’ benefit.
